We are a nonpartisan coalition aimed at bringing together diverse voices from across the Commonwealth for the common purpose of forging a bright, new energy future for Pennsylvania.

This meeting will be held virtually.

This gathering will feature a non-partisan update on key energy policy developments, including budget implications. Members will also have the opportunity to share their major priorities and ongoing work.

Our Co-Chairs, former U.S. Representative Conor Lamb and former state Representative Kate Harper, share that vision and a desire to position the Commonwealth as a national leader in a new, innovation-driven energy economy.

Conor Lamb, an attorney from Allegheny County, served in the U.S. House of Representatives from 2018 through 2022.

While in Congress, Lamb chaired the Energy Subcommittee of the House Committee on Science, Space, and Technology. Before his election to Congress, he served as Assistant U.S. Attorney for the Western District of Pennsylvania in Pittsburgh.

Lamb earned his bachelor’s degree and J.D. from the University of Pennsylvania before joining the U.S. Marine Corps and serving as an officer and judge advocate. He currently works in private practice law and remains active in public policy issues, including energy and environmental policy.

Why did you decide to help lead Energy Future PA?
“Pennsylvania is in a unique position to lead the nation’s transformation to a decarbonized energy economy. We have an abundance of natural energy resources to leverage as part of the transition, we are a leading nuclear energy producer, and we now have two of the nation’s leading projects to develop regional hydrogen hubs. I’m honored to help lead Energy Future PA, because it’s a coalition that recognizes Pennsylvania’s incredible potential to be a global leader in the new energy economy – creating and sustaining jobs for Pennsylvanians and boosting our economy. It’s a common-sense approach that crosses party lines.”

Kate Harper

Co-Chair

Kate Harper is a former nine-term member of the Pennsylvania House of Representatives, representing the 61st legislative district in Montgomery County.

Known for her pragmatic leadership and her extensive knowledge of environmental issues, Kate has been appointed by two governors to the Pennsylvania Statewide Water Resources Committee, most recently serving as vice-chair. She has been at the forefront of some of Montgomery County’s key environmental stewardship initiatives, working to preserve the county’s open space and protect its water resources. She continues to volunteer on multiple local and statewide boards, including the Pennsylvania Parks and Forests Foundation.

Kate’s advocacy and leadership have earned her numerous awards from environmental organizations, including the Pennsylvania Environmental Council’s Curtin Winsor Award for lifetime achievement in policy and land conservation.

A practicing attorney, Kate earned a bachelor’s degree from LaSalle University and a J.D. from Villanova University School of Law. She resides in Montgomery County.
